Korea and Koreans!!!!

Its too early to have a post about korea & koreans and its too late for a post to come!!!Excuse me for both!!!

Its my new stint in South korea ,esp in the city of seoul. Never thought i would be here. As a regular Indian when i had a choice for Korea , i simply dint think even for a second to proceed, I dint want.. But noway i have to choose, but korea had a different exposure when i reached here.
It was ...

The first impression is always the best!!! It was the transportation besides the great infrastructure, since i have my special interest for automobiles...One can see KIA, Hyundai cars and buses that attracts anyone reached here...
Next comes the "Worlds Best airport" --INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT...

One hour travel in bus from Incheon Island to seoul @ 100KMph.Its nothing different from india ,its cos of population in India. Though 70% of population lives in seoul, its not so crowded as chennai!!!!

Next impression was my dorm and the every ordinary Taxi has GPS system fitted, its a old technology here!!!
U can find one and only Samsung products here, and their old technology are our new ones!!!temperature is pleasing and its fall here.
At the University you can find a IIT research lab atmosphere with most students work for their PHD, and am sure we Indians are far better in presentations and seminars than Koreans or nepalese or bangaldeshi's who you can see here.

Professor- student relationship is so cool that they behave like frnds.

About Koreans::

I have never known that koreans would be so helpful in nature and they offer for anything you want , come with you and the best thing is one can never hear a horn from a car or bus, if you walk on the road crossing the yellow line, they wait for you to finish your walk on road.

Its this i can never forget about koreans, they welcome and thank you for everything with a smile, not a single Indian does heartfully!!!

They lag lag lag behind US, India ,china only because of ENGLISH!!!!they never speak english and world cant get their ideas and technology, else they will race and lead..

TRAVEL CARD:

Korean travel cards are the best way to travel without cash in hand. One can recharge ,use it for BUS, Subways to any place and they are flexible.

One can hardly find food without meat, octopus fry and beef!!!Even i was served, luckily escaped!!!

Seoul is really the soul of asia!!!!

Bye Until my next post on Korea!!

All In One Phone!!!!

Is that topic so abstract???Even to me it was so amazing to have glimpse from my friend, who showed me a video about this amazing phone. For years even after invention of this great tech, mobiles were basically to talk ,the style quickly changed to message people and later mobiles were used for various purposes, for games, chat, music and the list goes on …
What would you like have in your new generation mobile phone??? A GPS?? or Internet?? 3G or 4G Services?? All these looks old in front of this new Hi-tech Mobile phone..
Wont you be surprised to have a coffee maker in your phone with a trimmer to trim your hair, then a voice translator??with mouth organ to compose your own music anywhere, everywhere???Projectors to screen movies or presentation????All in one phone!!!
Then ,
Check this out,
Watch the exciting futures of the new pomegranate phone!!!!

Jenson Button Wins Australian Granprix 2009!!!

With the new radical rules for 2009, amidst of double diffuser controversies, the race day had a thrilling start with the new Brawn GP’s jenson Button and Rubens Barichello in first two positions. Saturday’s qualification had amazing and unexpected results and postioning of cars, with lewis starting from last due to some technical problem, else from 13th position other way.

The race day started with Barichello slowing down immediately after the five red lights were off, though he managed to be at 6th position. It was not the day of ferrari. Ferrari’s managed to be in top six positions at the start. Vettel raced with button at second position. Hamilton made many overtakes as he was in 10th position at the end of 49th lap. Jenson Button, Vettel, Barichello, Kubica raced constantly to maintain the top 4 positions. Pit Stops for many cars was more than 11 sec. McLaren’s Kovalainen retired at sector 1 during the initial laps. With the new rules helping many overtakes took place with the slick tyres. Force India’s Fisichella raced that he was in top 10.Sutil displayed his skills with the new VJM ercedes engine..Nakajima retired with an accident…Truli,Glock and lewis were trying to pull each other for their top 10 places.

Felipe Massa retired with his car had some mechanical problems that made him to stop after 2 nd pit stop.Raikkonen made his 3rd pit stop and hit his ferrari that made his postion to be the last. The most dramatic part was when safety car was called twice, one for Williams nakajima at sector 1 .and the other was the most interesting for Vettel and Kubica hit each other, while Vettel was driving with just three tyres when 3 laps remaining. That was an interesting and amazing Australian grandprix yet Vettel and Kubica deserved points.

Windows goes Greener!!!

Windows 7, formerly codenamed BlackComb and Vienna is finally into its shape. Windows 7, the seventh OS from Microsoft receives accolades from industry and end –users (me as well) for its vibrant power management. The main priority goes with reducing power consumption among other key features as redefined shell with new taskbar, support for touch screen, improved performance on Multi-Core, newly designed notepad with hand-writing recognition etc. I personally experienced the kind of power saving environment in Win7 which squeezes out as much as battery life possible from the machine and my voting goes for that. Consuming just some milli-watts during processor idleness and switching off the monitors are key features of power management. Although these functions are basic focus of any OS on reduction in power consumption, Windows7 dreams big. Its borders extend to key factors like processor idleness, where the consumption is highest and unwanted. Background Services, software applications, device drivers and various other services has been taken in to hone the Windows7’s quest. The OS “scales processor performance based on the current amount of utilization”. USB devices and their impact on energy consumption has not been forgotten, Win7 suspends selected USB devices until its use which helps in greater extent. The peak power consumption would always be the Graphics utilization, and Win7 has optimized by providing a better solution.
Starting services on demand without running them in background and reducing disk reads for registry access results in reducing battery consumption. The command powercfg results back an html page regarding the energy efficient issues in your installed win7 OS. powercfg with /energy detects the USB’s that are not suspended and one should make sure of closing all applications before commanding.CPU cores that aren’t needed are parked down for some time, and Microsoft finally implements the ’slumber’ feature on SATA drives, powers down USB ports and controllers more aggressively and even puts Wi-Fi card to sleep if it’s turned on but not connected to a network. System Timer in Vista was around 1ms and here it is 15ms which reduces the power draw, increasing battery life. The screen would dim before turning off and it will not be affected even opening files on network.
Windows Media Player has been improved by caching video in buffer from a DVD drive and reducing the CPU power utilized for Read access. Finally the most famous Windows Movie Maker and photo gallery are no more in Windows7.
But using Beta version that had more bugs. Better to try with Windows 7 original and fully developed version. Windows 7 is far better than Vista and its previous versions.

Core of the Future!!!

Can we believe to have 100 cores in a single processor in a decade or so??? You can buy multicore laptops, desktops, cell phones, PDAs, multicore anything in near future. The migration from single-core to dual-core was a biggie, but now its common to have a quad core processor in a desktop…does the desktop pc actually use the entire computing power, to the maximum for gaming? Intel Corp. and its rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc. leapfrogging each other to set the trend of their innovation in processors. 8 and 16 cores in 12 -18 months assures intel and is that computing power do we consume???Intel continuing its innovation to tera-scale computing as it future aim and Processor giants go with the famous moore’s law of “number of transistors in a processor doubling every 18 months” and at the consumer end it’s the amount of power that matters. Transition from extinct single core processors to quad and octa cores took place due to the increasing heat radiation and power consumption by increasing the clock cycles, the reason behind the limitation of the clock rate in desktops and laptops.
The main aim of these multicore generation can be shortened as “manufacturing a cool processor”, in the sense of reducing power consumption” which emanated by increasing clock cycles.
In Hardware side, intel reported that 95% of its chips to be shipped in 2011 would be multicores and to expect the software part to be in race is a jerky decision at the moment. There is a major gap between the hardware and software and tracking back to the first line of 100 cores in a processor, think of the computing power and will that be used fully, a question that leads to the advent of parallel programming. Dual core to increase the processing time in two folds ,quad cores in 4 times, octa 8 times…does this really happen with the software that was programmed for a single core processor??? even the Operating System???Obviously ‘no’ comes the answer, and this is the future of software vendors to parallel program their software and to match their hardware partners. 8 cores in 18 months from now, then the program being developed for dual core now will become extinct in another 18 months. Increases in processor speed brought a boost in software speed. However, as processor speeds start to peak, and processor manufacturers use new techniques to increase processing power, this is starting to change. Intel is popularizing its multicore programming throughout the world in a rapid manner. Multicore is forcing companies to open up and drive new business models .The introduction of multicore processors provides a new challenge for software developers, who must now master the programming techniques to race with the hardware potential.
Truth lies here,”Multi core programming being the wave of the future, while multi core as tide“!!!

Computer Maniacs!!!

No doubt in today’s world that more than half of population uses the data processor or computer in their day to day life and for few, the day begins with this digital machine and ends with it. The wave had its effect on me by being an ardent user, and continues to be. Have you ever noticed or felt that it really interferes you in day to day life even when you not using it??Yes it does obviously!!! The most common control commands that haunts me in the routine life , A ctrl+ F while reading a book or more accurately to search something in the book in hand, while feeling too lazy to open up the index or at least the dictionary to search for its synonym. A ctrl+c and ctrl+v for my assignments to be finished (not actually!!!) rather its needed in many other scenarios. The most common command i badly wanted is a ctrl+z to undo my silly mistakes that i commit at times. I really wanted this one for most number of times, when my notes had some errors and something falls down from my shelf!!! A rewind button for my life to commit my mistakes more carefully!!!Backspace in my fingers to instead of an eraser, print screen in my eyes to capture the gorgeous sight. A run command in my tongue to spell the event to happen. A Google Room (desktop) Search to find my lost pen in my room and little space of some terabytes of memory to store all the non sense data’s and with a brain speeding faster than the supercomputer. My brain with quad or Octa cores to finish my works parallelly (not even the present day computer uses all the cores, actually the next era, of programming software to parallelize each process!!!).Whoa!!! What an advanced Brain!!! Then the list continues with an End Now button to end all my worries with a window showing “this worry is not quite good, better end now”. A control panel to adjust all parts of my body. Life would feel different with all these pranky ideas , but some day my OS will crack down and only god can replace a better OS .

A short post based on the world where my life keeps going!!!Put in your thoughts where you felt the same.
